About the event
Over the last ten years, Breathe Arts Health Research has delivered their clinically effective Breathe Magic Intensive Therapy Programme for young people aged 7-19 with hemiplegia. Young people work alongside world-renowned Magic Circle magicians and occupational therapists to perform specially selected magic tricks designed to develop hand and arm function, cognitive abilities, self-confidence and independence. This award-winning approach to therapy is grounded in world-class medical research, giving young people access to 78 hours of intensive therapy.
In this exclusive event, Yvonne Farquharson, Breathe’s Managing Director and Founder and Clinical Lead Rebecca Johnson will discuss the programme, including:
- The science and research which underpins this work
- Clinical eligibility
- Referral routes
- How your child could get involved with this life-changing, magical approach to therapy.
You’ll also hear first-hand from a previous participant on their lived-experience of the programme, and how it’s positively impacted their life.
We look forward to seeing you.
